Equipment Requirements

Mark may be performing alone, or with one or more other musicians, depending on the performance and the venue. Please make sure you are aware of the number of musicians performing at your event.

Venue Requirements

These are the standard requirements for a performance agreement between Mark Scudder ("ARTIST") and the venue ("VENUE").

  • VENUE provides one (1) padded stool per performer
  • VENUE provides one (1) boom microphone stand with standard mic clip per performer
  • VENUE provides two (2) 120V 3-prong grounded electrical outlets
  • VENUE provides a stereo PA system with at least 500 watts per channel, including at least two full-range speaker enclosures with woofers at least 15 inches in diameter
  • ARTIST mixes show from the stage and requires no additional sound personnel. ARTIST provides all microphones and cabling.
  • VENUE accepts a stereo mix from ARTIST's audio system. "Phone"-style (1/4") inputs must be provided; if only XLR-style inputs are available, VENUE provides one stereo or two mono passive direct-in ("DI") boxes.
  • VENUE provides a 30-minute sound check no less than one hour before the audience is allowed in.
  • ARTIST will provide pre-recorded music (sometimes called "tweener music") before and after the performance.

These requirements are intended as guidelines to ensure a smoothly run and successful show. Actual requirements will vary from venue to venue and are subject to advance with ARTIST's technical representative.
