Mark Scudder :: The Solution is the Problem

effort with a more traditional rock arrangement. Featuring both
modern, aggressive, unique progressive metal and touches of his
famous atmosphere, Problem is an enormous solo
undertaking that will be hard to forget. This album is currently
in production - expect some news in the second half of 2008.

Mark Scudder :: Felix Culpa: The Remastered Special Edition
(April 17, 2007)
Originally released in 1998, Felix Culpa was not only a record of loss and
growth in Mark's life, but served as a proof-of-concept for moving into computer-based
recording, mixing, and mastering. The Special Edition features complete re-recordings
of the weaker performances of "Everything is Perfect" and "August 24, 1996" as well
as new elements on "Summer Came Without Her," and two new tracks from early
recordings for the album that would become Don't Wait. The entire album is
remastered with today's technology and features more than an hour of bonus material,
including alternate takes, demos, found recordings, and a commentary by Mark
detailing the story of Felix Culpa from beginning to end. The album is
availble exclusively on online music services, including iTunes, Napster, and eMuisc.

Obey Midget: The Best of WHRW's The Party
(July 2005)

track, "Lesbian Hands," co-written by Mark, including a full string orchestra
and a violent automobile accident.

(May 2005)
The debut album from this Binghamton-based world jazz outfit is a
trip through time and through the native soul. Mark recorded and
produced this album, on which he also plays bass. Using samples

Mark Scudder :: Don't Wait
(December 2004)
Mark's third solo album is obvoiusly inspiried by the tragic events of
September 11, 2001, but the theme is more general. Like the title says,
the message is about not taking life for granted, because no one truly
knows when there is no time left. Phil McGovern, who records and
performs as Smothered in Argyle, performed the haunting
and respectfully simple lead on "Forward."

For Rectal Use Only :: The Mad Trivia Party Archives Volume Four
(April 2002)
When Mark left WHRW's The Mad Trivia Party in February 2002, he had been with the
show for eight years. After releasing two other best-of CDs and one cassette, there was both a need
for a total retrospective and the need to do something with mountains of unreleased material,
including two full best-of albums that never saw the light of day. For Rectal Use Only is
a two-disc set, the first being a standard best-of CD covering the last year of Mark's involvement
with Mad Trivia, and the second being a CD-ROM covering eight years of Mad Trivia under Mark,
including everything previously released, two unreleased albums, bonus and unreleased material
for each CD, and other bonus features.

Phil McGovern :: Exit 71 (demo)
(April 2001)
Recorded during the bleak, chilling winter of 2000, Phil McGovern's first
solo effort is a long, strange trip through the many talents of a
Binghamton-area musical legend. McGovern's interests run the gamut
from metal to electronica to gentle finger-picked classical guitar, and
Exit 71 (demo) represents every corner of Phil's mind.

Angry Brick :: Stereo Demonstration Record: Songs From the Forthcoming Album "Becoming The Machine"
(Summer 1999)
Angry Brick started as a joke, capitalizing on the overnight success of so-called nu-metal. The idea
was to write simple, downtuned songs and bring in a singer who would moan like a constipated child
abuse victim (like so many nu-metal frontmen). The band was an overnight success in the Binghamton
area, eventually employing three dancers ("The Brickettes") and wowing every person who ever saw them live. (They once, as a joke, opened for ska/funk legends
Perfect Thyroid. It never happened again.) Unfortunately, tensions between members, some who wanted to be more serious,
some who would only do it as a joke, split the band up before the "forthcoming" album Becoming
the Machine could be completed. Many of the unreleased tracks would appear on Phil McGovern's
2001 album Exit 71 (demo).

I'm Charles Foster Kane: The Mad Trivia Party Archives 1997-1998

Rushed to production as a gift for the outgoing host Greg "Buzzbomb" Mollo, this first Mad Trivia
Party compilation showcases a reborn show after a major personnel change. While Mad Trivia had
often dreamed in years past of completing a project like this, it never happened, and Mark holds
the honor of raising the bar for this legendary local radio program.
